Webathon


Webathon is a proven way for you to generate revenue from your sales teams. Webathon builds on the principles of a team sales activity day but takes it into the internet age. Webathon increases customer engagement and drives performance by targeting specific objectives. Based around a live presentation "hub", information is relayed to the teams before they engage with customers on the phone. All the activity is then logged and relayed back to us on the web. So how does it work..well, the event is held over one day and broken into segments that revolve around two telephone activity sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. At the core of the Webathon is a studio hub, where live presentations are relayed. This can be either a television studio or a suitable room in your premises with the output streamed live to your audience. The example you are seeing here is taken from a television studio broadcast Webathon, branded for Xerox under the name Xerothon.

 

Segment one of the broadcast is held first thing in the morning. This part of the broadcast gives important messages and information to the audience to assist them in their task. This could be simple training on how to use the telephone effectively, or product sales information and demonstrations. They are also told of the measurables of the event and how their activities will be judged.

 

Following this broadcast the audience then set to work on the phone for up to two hours. During this time they will log all the required data and feed the numbers back to the studio via the web.

 

After a short break segment two is transmitted from the studio. This will be further training and product information along with a summary of the results so far. Following this they go back on the phones for the afternoon session. Again for two hours, the participants log the same data and feed it back to us via the web.

 

The climax of the day is the end results broadcast. This is where the winners are recognised, with key activities highlighted and prizes awarded. It is this competitive element to the day that has been shown to be an extra driver for the teams, generating more demand than usual.
